How to spend a weekend in Temecula, California

Saturday

We started our trip in the afternoon and headed straight to Peltzer Winery. In the winter, they have an ice skating rink. Sadly, they closed the rink the weekend before, so we were not able to go, but we enjoyed our Frosty Rosé wine slushy while we watched the sun set and listed to the live band play. 

For dinner we had reservations at Trattoria Toscana Italian Restaurant. We then checked into our airbnb and called it a night since we knew we had to get up early the next day.

Sunday

We got up around 5 am to beat the sunrise and headed over to our hot air balloon ride! It was incredible and something I had been wanting to check off my bucket list for a very long time. The views from over Temecula, the sun rise, and the other balloons flying were a view I will never forget. I loved every minute of it. They even give you a "certificate" and mimosa or champagne to celebrate when finished. It was very cold in the morning, as we went in the winter time, so make sure to bundle up. I got a turtleneck from Amazon, which was perfect for the ride. 

After our hot air balloon ride we went to have breakfast at Toast. Their mimosa flight was really good! 

Our hot air balloon ride included a discounted wine tasting at Europa Winery so after our late breakfast we headed back. It was beautiful and we enjoyed their wine very much (even brought some bottles home). 

We then headed to Wilson Creek Winery to try their famous Wine Slushies. I became a big fan! It got warm later in the day, so we had to take some layers off. Be ready to adjust to the changing weather! Before heading home, we walked around Downtown Temecula for a bit, then we left home.
