Weekend Itinerary to Sedona, Arizona

Saturday

We started our road trip from Southern California at around 4am. At around noon, we got to our first stop, the Chapel of the Holy Cross. The chapel has a small gift shop on the bottom floor and the view from the outside of the chapel was amazing.

After that we headed over for lunch at Mole.  Their customer service was not the greatest, but the food was good.

Right after lunch we headed to cool off at the Grasshopper Point and Swimming Area. The entrance was $9 and although not recommended by the park, we got to jump off the side rocks into the water. Don't forget your water shoes!

We then checked into our AirBnb, got some rest, and then got ready to go to Page Spring Cellars for wine tasting. The wine was good! After, we headed out to grab pizza to-go and went back to our AirBnb to eat and enjoy the beautiful bright star lit night sky. We got this pair of binoculars so that we can use our phones to see close ups of the stars!

Sunday

The next morning, we got up at around 6am to hike. We started off on the Mescal Trail (note: we parked and walked towards the left side of the road, but a couple of nice ladies let us know we were going the wrong way. Don't make our same mistake! When you park, go to the right!) From the Mescal Trail, we then joined the Devil's Bridge hike. I definitely recommend this hike! The view from the top was breath taking (both literally and figuratively speaking). It was also pretty hot so I did not want to wear long tights, but I also did not want to wear shorts because I knew that the long walk would make me chafe. I got these biker shorts from amazon, which were perfect because it allowed me to stay cool and they even have pockets on the side for your phone. There was a long line to take a photo on the bridge, so go early to skip the line! On the way back, we got lost for about 2 hours. Make sure to follow the signs!

We then headed for breakfast-on-the-go to McDonald's. Fun fact: This Micky D's is the only one in the US that has Turquoise arches, not gold. Then, back to southern California we went with lots of memories to take with us.
