Things to do in Salt Lake City, Utah

Saturday

We started off our road trip from Southern California. We left really early in the morning and got there around 3pm  (Don't forget to account for the time change). We then checked in to our hotel, The Anniversary Inn. This was such a cool place to stay! It is my husband's all time favorite hotel, we definitely plan on coming back. No two rooms are alike, each have their own theme. There is a jungle safari themed one, a lighthouse themed one, and many other different themes. We stayed at the Venice themed one where the bed was a gondola and the private jacuzzi was huge! (Note - there are two Anniversary Inn's in Salt Lake City, so make sure to double check which one you plan to stay at.) We stayed at the one on 5th South, it was a little hidden, so make sure to follow directions closely. 

We then headed out for dinner at a Mediterranean restaurant nearby. After dinner, we then headed out to the  Hogle Zoo for the ZooLights! It was a fun experience with the lights. Most of the animals are asleep and away, but some were out. It was SO COLD, so make sure to dress for the weather. We then headed back to our hotel, hopped in the jazcuzzi, and cheered with some champagne for the new year! (did I mention the room includes a free bottle of champagne!)

Sunday

The stay at the inn includes breakfast in bed. It was really nice to relax and enjoy a calm private breakfast. After packing up and checking out, we grabbed one of their home-backed good bye cookies (they were delicious) and then headed to explore the downtown. 

We started off at Temple Square to see the beautiful building. We then headed over to the City Creek Mall Sky-bridge for some shopping. The large glass bridge was really nice. 

As we headed back home, we stopped by at the In-N-Out burger just out side the city for some quick lunch on the go. Then headed back home.
