Things to do in Paso Robles, CA

How to spend a weekend in Paso Robles, CA

Saturday

We started our trip from SoCal early on Saturday morning, with a nice cold Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew from Starbucks to get in the Fall mood (I was never a fan of pumpkin stuff, but now I am). By lunch time, we got to our first destination, Tooth and Nail Winery. This was by far the coolest winery I had ever been to. The place looks like a castle and actually had a moat surrounding it.  The food was delicious and the wine was even better (if you take a couple bottles home, they cancel your tasting fee, win-win!).

At around 3pm, we walked over the hill to Moonlight Cellars. They were able to accommodate us without a reservation and the place was nice and calm. They had live acoustic music and it reminded me of summertime in a backyard. It was very relaxing.

We then went back to our hotel to check in and freshen up for dinner. Hotel Siri Downtown was in a great location with everything close by. The rooms were modern and clean, but the walls were paper thin. We headed to downtown and walked around the cute park while we waited to be seated at the restaurant, called Basil Thai Restaurant. They were really busy so the service was not that great, but still the food was good.

After dinner, we headed to my favorite part of the trip. The Bruce Munro Light at Sensorio was an art display of thousands of lights that form a field. You are able to walk around to explore the field and other 2 displays. The paved paths are stroller friendly and have a few food and items for sale with live music to entertain. I highly recommend coming to see this if you can!

Sunday

Hungry as can be, we headed back to downtown to have breakfast at a cute place called Brunch (yes, that's what it's actually called).  We were able to call in ahead of time to get on the wait-list. The potatoes and the french toast were SO GOOD! We then grabbed a hazelnut iced coffee from Spearfish Coffee and walked around the downtown shops.

We then headed on the road for Malene wine where you can get wine from an Airstream. They had a make shift makers market with live music, food, and wine. After that, we headed back on the road back to OC. We made a pitstop to Santa Barbara to grab a late lunch/early dinner before we headed back home. Overall, it was a great girls weekend.
